NextGen 2.0 – problems with slider

  • Hello,

    I’m experiencing a bug after I updated NextGen. As soon as I did it, the slider which shows posts on the home page stopped to work.
    The user interface is great but I really would like to fix this bug before the site goes live.

    WordPress Version:3.5.2
    Theme: Attitude-modified 1.1.7

    Can you help please?

    Hi Vale – this seems like a theme/plugin conflict. Can you confirm that the slider you’re talking about is built into the theme, or is it powered by a plugin?

    I have to say I don’t think we’ll look into this at least for a while, since there are other issues affecting more users.

    If you just need to get it working again, you can roll back to 1.9.13:

    I too have this problem – have just posted a problem as well which I will go and remove!
    The slider is built into the theme by the way…

    Hi – just wanted to note that I’ve added your theme above to our list of known conflicts. I think there seem to be some conflicts between NG and several themes using sliders. We’ve also created an issue for this for our developers. Thanks,

    Hi there!

    Any news about the compatibility between Attitude theme and the new version of Next Gen?
    If not, would you suggest to come back to the older version of NextGen or rather to wait for an update (if it is supposed to be released in brief time)?

    @vale – We have no specific “fix” for the Attitude theme at this time, but you are welcome to watch our Latest Beta page for updates regarding that here: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-latest-beta/
