NextCellent Gallery is broken under WordPress 4.7

  • Hello,

    unfortunately NextCellent doesn’t function properly under WordPress 4.7. When I try to edit a gallery, only the first image is visible. I cannot edit the thumbnail and I cannot sort the images, either. Can we expect any update in the future?

    The pagination for Nextcellent isn’t working anymore either. Does anyone know if this is related? For example, if your gallery goes beyond the number of thumbnails you have set for one page, and you click on the pagination link for the next page, you get a 404 Page Not Found error.

    I am running version 1.9.31 and the file as described does NOT have the line at all:

    $item->tags = wp_get_object_terms( $item->pid, 'ngg_tag', 'fields=names' );

    The file “class-ngg-image-list-table.php” only has 218 lines of code. Which is a surprise since the example file has 322.

    I tried replacing the contents of my file with the bitbucket file. Broke even more.

    Is this plugin going to have an official fix released? if so please tell us ‘yes’.

    As the underlying bug was fixed in WordPress 4.7.1, the manual changes should not be necessary anymore.
