“Next Sent” Time Inaccurate

Any update here? I feel as though this is a very basic setting and shouldn’t be difficult to solve, I just don’t know why my emails aren’t sending on the correct days.

When it will be send first time is depend on Wait before send option.

You have set it as Wait 0 Days, it means today.
Set it to Wait 1 Days and first time it will be sended tomorrow.

Okay, I have set this “Wait before send” option to 1 day.

What do I set for the Periodicity? I just want this to send every Friday at 12:05am (once a week).

Is there a paid version I can get where I can get priority support? I feel as though this is a simple question and a simple answer, I just need you to respond please.

Periodicity: Send Every 7 Days
Send Time: 0 Hours, 15 Minutes
Days Of Week: Friday
Wait before send: Wait 0 Days

This configuration means that first email will be send today and another in 7 days BUT only if that will be Friday.

If you want to send on Friday only you have 2 options:
1) Set Wait before send to number of days till Friday. Set Periodicity to 7 and don’t touch days of week.
2) Set Wait before send to 0, Periodicity to 1 and Days Of Week to Friday.

Second option sounds like – try to send email every day from today but only if it is Friday.

Perfect Dima, that makes sense. I have put the settings in place for option #1 above and will keep an eye on it this coming Friday morning.

Hi Dima, yesterday I had set the email to run at 12:15am and it is now 12:27am and it has not sent. I had left the days of the week blank, set the “Wait before send to 1”, and periodicity to 7 days. The next send time had been correct, but that time has now passed, the report was never sent and the next send time never changed, leaving it at a time in the past. Can you advise? Thank you

Hi Dima and Oleg, I ran a batch of tests last night, and got very odd results. Most of the emails sent (one report did not), but the ones that did send sent multiple reports, leading into the month of August, and then when I checked the Sales Variant dashboard, the “Next Send” times had been staggered week by week between each report. It’s very hard to explain, but please see these two screenshots:

Can you advise as to why this is behaving so strangely? And what I can do to avoid this in the future?

Please provide screenshots of sale report settings that has issue(tabs: Send Time, Start Time, End Time)
We will check this on our test environment, maybe plugin has some issue with some settings.

I have since turned “Send empty reports” off, as I was wondering if that had something to do with the weird issue of the reports from future dates being sent. Thoughts?

Lastly, I am sending 50+ reports, all to different emails, at the exact same time. Could this be causing a conflict of some sort? Do I need to stagger the send times to avoid any issues?

Right now report is setuped like this:
Send report every 7 days, start 7 days from today, but only if day will be Friday.
If you saved it today, then it must do not send reports at all, because after 7 days it will be Wednesday and every 7 days it will be also Wednesday.

Maybe settings was with Wait before send option set to 0, it can cause multiple send on sales save.

That all makes sense Oleg. I am actually not sure why the “Wait before send” was set to 7; originally I had it set to 2 (so that it would send on Friday), so that is very strange that is changed to 7.

Do you see an issue with sending 50+ reports all at the same time? Would that cause any issues?

Hi,

This depends only on your server power. Generally it only states that they are all in one time but really they will be one after another. So there should no any real problem or too big server load.
