Next/ previous arrows open empty pages, no images appear

  • Hi! Please help, if you can! Next/previous scrolling arrows have stopped working in all my galleries. The thumbnail page loads just fine. When I click on an image, it opens in a lightbox, just like it should. But when I want to proceed to next image by clicking an arrow, the page goes blank. Only site background image loads, but no image, no lightbox, no arrows, no nothing. Refreshing the page brings back the thumbnails. So a visitor can’t properly view my galleries, but keeps getting blank pages when trying to scroll forward or back.

    The problem started all of a sudden and it’s affecting all my galleries, not only the one I linked as an exmaple. I’ve tested both with Firefox and Chrome.

    I’ve searched the forums but failed to find an answer. I have tried deactivating all the plugins – problem persists. I have not touched any js (I wouldn’t even know how) and I believe this problem started after the latest wordpress update.

    Please help. I have lots of images in galleries, and being able to properly view them is vital.

    Actually what I’m seeing is that the image isn’t loading in the div where it’s supposed to:

    Have you already tried deactivating all your plugins and theme to make sure it’s not a conflict?

    If you have, could you please go to our contact form, click on the Basic Question and open up a support ticket? It just looks like something is blocking the image from loading in the lightbox when using the next/previous navigation.

    Hi!

    I really THOUGHT I had tried deactivating all the plugins, but now trying it again just to be sure, I (to my slight embarrasment) found the bugger. It’s a plugin called “Page animations and transitions”, updated two weeks ago, and I believe that’s when the problem started. For now, I just deactivated it, as the galleries are more important than smooth page content transitions. There mut be some script collision going on…

    Such a cool gallery. Couldn’t live without it.
