Next Month button not working on month view on Safari

I have installed the plug-in and it works perfectly for all browsers except Safari.
I have events for December. When it was November, and I clicked on the December link, nothing happened. If I right click on the link then open in new tab or open in new window, it works. It’s like it doesn’t recognise it as a link.
The site is now live so I couldn’t switch off the plug-ins on the live site. I have a local version on my computer so I was able to test it there. The problem was occurring there too.
One by one I disabled the plug-ins and each time I refreshed it on Safari but the problem remains. I am getting over this problem by setting the default of the calendar to the list view but I would love to use the calendar view as it looks better.
I am using Safari version 5.1.7.
