There aren’t currently any plans to add video-related functionality to Dyad.

Have you considered searching the plugin repository to see if there’s any plugins that help you to achieve the functionality you’re after?

It’s very simple: I’m going to open my own personal blog using this template that I find beautiful (Motorsport Republic). Since you wrote me that you don’t have, for now, plans to roll out new features on this template, I’m thinking about the near future, related to the development of my blog, to try to understand how I can fix some things. One of these is to insert, in the featured post, videos instead of a pictures. The second is to find a way, just as elegant and effective, to place advertising on the home page. For this I took the liberty of asking for advice on the best plugin to use. Your expertise is gold, for me, since I don’t know the CSS code to intervene directly.

Apologies for the delay in my reply here! I was away last week.

One of these is to insert, in the featured post, videos instead of a pictures.

I searched the plugin repository for “featured videos” and you can see the results here:

A plugin named Featured Video Plus is the first plugin in the search results. It has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars and you could consider experimenting with it as a starting point.

The second is to find a way, just as elegant and effective, to place advertising on the home page.

Are you using a third-party service, such as Google AdWords, to create adverts? If so, you can follow the steps outlined in the following thread in order to add your adverts via a child theme:

Hi @siobhan, I forgot to answer this your post. I’m sorry. I have yet to activate the Google code ADWords, but what I would like to understand is how to create and manage the personal spaces for advertising. For example Dyad seems does not have the possibility of having the skin.But still is a task I will take a few months. Probably I am going to ask you some advice about it. ??

Did you take a look through the thread I linked to? There isn’t a built in option to add advertising but if you’re comfortable experimenting with your theme’s HTML/PHP then you can do so via a child theme.

I’m going to be on vacation for the next two weeks, so won’t be about to answer questions on this forum. My colleagues will be though. ?? To get the quickest possible help, please start a new thread on this forum with extra questions.
