Next Gen Gallery shortcodes not working

    None of my next gen gallery short codes are working. For example

    [slideshow id=1]
    [album id=5 template=extend]
    [album id=0]

    All of these are just outputting the shortcode straight to the published page. I’ve tried the following to no avail:

    * disabling plugins
    * using the twentytwelve theme

    The galleries are all installed fine. I can display the galleries using JJ NextGen JQuery Slider plugin. But even with other plugins turned off, nothing is making those shortcodes work.

    Any clues? Or how could I test this to see why its just writing the shortcode and not applying it?

  • Have you tried manually resetting the plugins folder – changing the name on it using FTP or other file manager?

    Or deleting (via FTP) the NGG plugin and then reinstalling it?

    I had tried that but deciced to try it again. I deactivated the plugin. Deleted it rather than replacing it and uploaded it again. This worked and everything runs perfectly now. Thanks.
