Next events link not showing results

Using list view as the default and only display option, the NEXT link produces an error that says “There were no results found.” But there are indeed future events not shown on the first page. Then, if the PREVIOUS link is clicked, the future events are shown.

I updated all plugins and the DIVI theme. The issue persisted. I disabled all plugins except the event calendar and the issue persisted. I changed to a default theme and the problem was resolved.

Does this plugin not work with the DIVI theme?
