‘Next’ button not working on homepage

Advance apologies on my lack of technical expertise. I’m setting up a comic website and am having some trouble with navigation in one specific instance. My next, previous, first, and last buttons are all working fine except on the homepage (which displays the first comic) where the next button gives me a ‘400 bad request’ error. If I hit ‘last’ it will take me to the last comic and from there I can navigate as normal right back to the first comic where the ‘next’ button will now work. So in summary the next button on my homepage won’t work!
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
