Next and Previous arrows

  • I have a query about next and previous links for single posts and multiple entries.

    previous_post_link(‘← %link’) By default will put the arrow outside of the link.

    previous_posts_link(‘← Newer Entries’) By default will put the arrow inside of the link.

    Why have them both function differently? Does it not make logical sense to have them both put the arrow inside, or both outside?

    I was also wondering how I can have the arrow for previous_posts_link outside of the link?
