    ello,
Following a recent update – both NEXGEN and JETPACK completely disappeared from my WordPress dashboard, taking with them all the corresponding features (including all of my galleries, which play a large part in my site).

I have checked the FTP file and they are still there, but I have no idea what to do to rectify this. Is anyone able to advise? help would be most appreciated. I am unable to re-upload the plugins via the dashboard as WordPress realises that the files already exist …

    Thanks
    Alice

@alice Todd – There is usually a plugin conflict behind this but we have not been able to pin down exactly how things are getting crossed up in the WordPress Dashboard especially since it does not always just happen to NextGEN Gallery as you are noting in your topic.

I would suggest a few things: deactivate all of your plugins and switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme. Make sure all caches on your site / server and your browser are cleared (you may need to do this before you deactivate any caching plugins).

Next, try reactivating NextGEN Gallery (or Jetpack, as they are both being affected here) to see if they return to the Dashboard menus. IF yes, then it was most likely another plugin or your theme. If no, then please send us a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) for our external Reset Tool plugin (which you will need to use *twice*) as a possible solution for NextGEN Gallery only. It will have no effect on how Jetpack acts (you will likely need to work with those developers to address that issue if it persists).

    Thanks!

    Hello,
Thanks for the response – the deactivating plugins option didn’t work unfortunately – but I have since deleted the file via FTP and reinstalled – which seems to have done the trick …

@priyankagrawal – Since this topic’s suggestions did not help with your issue it would be best for you to start your own topic.

    Thanks!
