Newsletters not sending

I tested my site by setting up a couple of accounts and placing a couple of orders, but my newsletters are not sending. I made sure to double opt in for each newsletter I was sending. It has been over 10 hours and still nothing. The newsletter stats say they were sent, but nothing in my email.
