    Hi,

I’m facing a strange behaviour I don’t understand with my newsletter’s text color.
I’ve setup my own style, in which newsletter text color is set to #fffefa (that is almost white).

When I preview the newsletter in WP it is displayed with the correct color(s), but when I receive it in thunderbird (did not try any other mailer), the text color is not correct, i.e. not almost white but some king of green instead.
None of the other colors I did setup in my style is uncompliant (links, titles, …), just the newsletter text color.

2 pictures are available following the links above, and the post itself is here.

The email HTML code shows me nothing special for that newsletter text, it’s just a :
    <div class="wysija_text_container"><p style="text-align: justify;">blabla</p></div>

    Where/what should I check ?

  • Please check in other emails clients as well. That might be related only to Thunderbird.

Thanks for responding. I’ve just tried with zimbra and roundcube webmail clients, the text appears in black (!!) in zimbra and in white in roundcube…

    Hi

I’ve just run a Litmus test on it and it’s completely fine in thunderbird. It looks like you’ve modified this compared to the screenshots. Have you sent the latest version to your Thunderbird email account?

Just tried it again, and it’s ok too on T-Bird 38.5.1 / Ubuntu.
I don’t know if T-Bird has been upgraded since last week, but it looks like it’s correct now.
    Thanks for your help !

I think in the editor you probably did some text colouring and then did some other bits and there was probably some stray formatting tags causing the issue ??

No, no text colouring in the post itself.

You’re right, it’s because the database’s been hacked and I had to restore it from the latest backup which was done just before the last post used for the screenshots.
So I had to rewrite the last post from my memory… :-/
