Newsletter plugins

  • Is there a newsletter plugin component for WP?

    OK: I’ve searched and can’t find any credible results that look like they’d be of any use

    What’s needed:

    – a sign up where the user has to verify that they have actually chosen to sign up
    – create a graphical newsletter
    – send emails in batches
    – be unlimited in the amount of emails it can handle

    The searches I’ve found:

    MailPress – not sure… not enough details is given, even on the Wiki

    ‘Newsletter’ – hmmm sounds promising, but on the details it specifically says that it’s only good for small lists??

    I discounted all others

    Any help/recommendations would be great

    I’ll otherwsie have to consider installing Joomla and using their newsletter plugin – which would be crazy! Surely WP must have a decent newsletter plugin

    I am a former Joomla user, the first few months I did not know if I was coming or going. with word press I was up and running it two days and some of my posts were indexed by google in a day before I was even done with them.
