    Hi!
Is there any newsletter plugin for WordPress? I’d like to use it for a ‘ezine’ but I’m just wondering if I’ll be able to send newsletters to my readers??
    Thanks much

Thanks! I’m still waiting for an answer though, hope someone can help me (us) !

I’d also like some sort of weekly newsletter solution. I’m running three different newsletters through Yahoo Groups, and I sure would like to move them all over to my site somehow.

What about this one https://www.semiologic.com/software/newsletter-manager/ but it isn’t free.

I just don’t think I’m willing to plunk down $300 for a package of stuff I don’t really need, just to get one plugin that may or may not be something I can use. This plugin talks about sending one newsletter—but I have at least three different newsletters running right now, with three different groups of subscribers. One of them has over 3000 subscribers, which seems to be a size that many full-featured PHP newsletter scripts can’t handle.

actually, I distribute it as a separate component to customers upon request. the newsletter plugin is not in the pro package because many a user has no idea of how to set up a proper mailing list.

I’m working on a new version, btw. it will let you manage multiple newsletters, and it will feature semi-automated posting. expect something somewhere next month.

as for sending an email to 3,000 subscribers using php, you rightly suggest that it’s completely nuts. many a server will time out the script before it is done spewing the emails, not to mention memory limits. moreover, more and more ISPs are either blocking email sent via apache/php entirely or marking it automatically as spam.

My subscribe2 plugin has been updated to provide daily digests (assuming you’re using WordPress 2.01 and my WP-Cron plugin), so that might be an option for some.

My cat2email plugin was written to connect WordPress to a dedicated mailing list application, like GNU Mailman: new posts to the blog are sent as email messages to the mailing list.

Hi, Ive made a newsletter myself https://www.red-star.nl/weblog/ and click on newsletter.

It seems that more people would like to have a newsletter. May be we should make a spec for it, and hope some super plugin guys outhere are helping us…

    Sending a newsletter every x weeks…

    just a start:
Header – the same picture as the blog, but smaller
    Opening – Free introduction text
Headlines – selected from the posts
    Closing – Free text
    Subscription stuf

    Nice options
Headlines – Only title – Title & Extract
Subscription option in the User profile
    CSS support

    Sample:
    ———————————–

    BLOG PICTURE

    ———————————–
    Week 12

    HI YOU RECEIVE …

    ————————-
    News (category?)
    ————————-
    Headline 1
    Headline 2

    ————————-
    Agenda
    ————————-
    Headline 1
    Headline 2

    etc

I send my newsletters via email. The whole subscribe2 thing doesn’t work for me, because I write the newsletter as a separate entity, including not only links to new items on the site, but off-site links as well.

I’d basically like to see something incorporated into wordpress which acts like the many free newsletter services, where by any visitors of my site can simply enter their email into a simple form and get their address added to a mailing list, which i can then send out mass messages out to. i’d like this to be seperate from the profiles/user features of the website.
