Newsletter not pulling the_excerpt but the_content

ravnak & bart: you’re right! Knews get the excerpt through the content, and ignores the manual excerpt…

Please, try this patch over the 1.2.8 version:

You must upload the file through FTP into the folder /wp-content/plugins/knews/direct

similar problem over here. I need the excerpt (with custom length according to where i’ve put the ‘more’-tag)

without the patch i get the excerpt with standard length without the ‘continue reading’-link

with the patch i get the excerpt with standard length with the ‘continue reading’-link

This gets the excerpt through the same way as WordPress does

I have been extremely busy, so I had no chance to test things last week. I hope that I can set aside some Knews testing time somewhere this week.

I also ran into some other small issues with Knews and I have some good ideas for simple but major improvements I like to share.
