    Hello,
This is my first mail send with MailPoet so it may very well be something simple that I overlooked but the only person that the newsletter was sent to was my dummy test account and none to any of the other 600+ subscribers.

These other subscribers are members of my site when I installed MailPoet and they were all listed as Status=unconfirmed List=WordPress User

The test or dummy user I created is confirmed since I wanted to see what the confirmation email looked like.

Do all the existing subscribers have to first receive the confirmation email even though they have already paid for the membership and in some cases that was 4 years ago and they receive weekly emails from my Aweber account already?

    Thank you for your help.

    – Steve D.

  • Hi Steve,

They need to be set to confirmed/ subscribed, otherwise they will not get the mail. You can resent the confimation email, or set the state manually to subscribed.

Hello Peter and thank you for your reply.
How do you manually set the status to subscribed? Is there a post or page you have a link to within MailPoets tutorials?

I looked on my site and could not see anywhere that could be done.

    Thank you.

    Hi Steve,

Unfortunately there is no page to do that within mailpoet. But there is another way to do that. You can export the subscribers with their current state to csv or excell format. Within excell you can update cells at once. Save the data to csv and import the altered data. Another way is going to the sql database management and alter the state within the mailpoet subscriber table.

    Hi @plr-videos

Yes, @psmits1567 is correct. There’s no way to change a subscriber status to confirmed. You must send them a confirmation email. If they agreed to receive emails from you, then you can manually change their status on the database directly to “subscribed”.

Thanks again @psmits1567 for your reply. My apologies for taking so long to acknowledge it.

That is an awesome idea and I’ve carved out some time this weekend to do just that.
