• Hi, after editing the Newsletter modal (popup) subscriber form content, the “Continue reading” link does not close the modal anymore.

The modal has no close button and it’s not clear to many visitors that clicking outside the box, will close it. With visitor traffic loss as a result…

I’ve had to disable the modal :/

Is there any trick to restore the “Continue reading” link’s modal close action?

The Continue reading button in this context is in fact a paragraph with an achor to “#” – see the screenshot of the original, inedited popup.

I hope it helps. Please let me know if you have other questions.

    Thanks!

Hi Paulina, yes I know. The Continue reading link is still there. It just does not close the modal anymore… Is there a way to “reset” the modal content?

    Hey @ravanh,

I tested that removing your custom template at wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template_part resets the default one.

I also realized that I forgot about the jetpack-subscribe-modal__close class that needs to be done to the Continue reading paragraph to keep the “close” functionality.

    Hope the above helps!

Ah! That might be the thing that was lost somehow… I’ll verify. Otherwise, I’ll try simply removing the custom template.

    Thanks for your help ??
