I have a newsletter (when new postings) i set to “send weekly on Friday at 5am” – i’m in Germany and here is, what it looks like in the overview/table of the newsletters: “W?chentlich am %1$s um 5:00 senden wenn es neuen Inhalt für Aktuelle Beitr?ge und Informationen gibt.”

    I think %1$c is a Placeholder…

…but: Today is Friday, it’s 9am and the newsletter still isn’t sent.

    How can i send it?

  • Hi there,

    1. We’ll update the translation, thank you for bringing this up.
    2. Does your newsletter contain an “automatic latest content” block that’s properly configured to display latest posts? If yes, were there any new posts added AFTER you had created your post notification? If no, then MailPoet won’t send older posts.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

hm. I think it is the “automatic new post”-Modul i have included and it shows some posts.

But no, there were no new posts AFTER i had created the post notification… Hm. I thought it would send “what i see” at the time i set. That’s not the case, good to know.

The “automatic posts”-modul seems to work differently from the one in version 2, right?
I have opened the Newsletter to edit it and still was able to see the posts i already sent. So i was not sure if i had the correct module inserted.
I then deleted that part and added the “automated”-module again. For a very short moment there was a placeholder to read “no new postings” (or something like that) – but then, very soon, it shows 5 actual postings… Why? These are all sent out with the last newsletter.

MailPoet3 confuses me (it’s a bit frustrating as it was all so clear with version 2 – maybe it’s just me, maybe ist Version 3 behaving strange?) :-/

    Hi,

Yes, when you edit a post notification, all posts (new and old) are displayed. This is so that you could visualize and configure the look-and-feel of your message; it won’t be possible if you had no posts to display there ??

The reason why you had a brief notice saying that there were no posts, is due to us having to re-fetch the content from your server after you deleted and re-added the “automatic latest content” block. Perhaps we can shade or somehow else indicate older posts in the newsletter designer. We’ll note that down on our list of suggestions.

As you keep using MailPoet 3, you’ll see that it’s more intuitive than the previous version. It’s just takes a bit of time getting used to. That said, we are all ears and will do out best to further refine and improve the product.

    Regards,
    MailPoet Team.
