• 1. When I choose NewsArticle type, the plugin create another type called “hentry”. So if we test, there are two types of Schema.org markups in a post, which is not good.

    2. There are too many unnecessary elements in the NewsArticle markup that won’t show on Google, please purge them all. Keep only the Schema.org parameters that Google needs.

    3. The plugin does not pick up images in posts as image element in Schema.org markup. Default image is the last resort and it is for posts without images, not those with.

Please check, if you may fix this, I will surely reverse the rating up!

    Thanks!

    Hi there!

Thank you so much for using our plugin. We are here to server our customers.

    1. We only support json-ld format not microdata. the “hentry” which is coming at your end is not from this plugin

    2. We follow schema.org. Could you please tell us which elements are unnecessary. If it is there, I do not think it is invalid as you can test in google testing tool.

    3. We do pick featured image from post. May be some issues are coming at your end.

I’m now using another plugin and it works, but still I want to clarify for you to improve.

    1. About “hentry” markups. I’m using AMP plugin, this could be the reason because it was the only plugin beside yours at that time. But when I change to another plugin for Schema.org markups, it’s gone. I just don’t know why because when I used Blogposting from your plugin, everything seemed fine.

    2. Of course, it may not create “invalid” in Google testing tool, there are many things that are abundant, for example you use “Category” as “Section”. Google doesn’t requires “section”. And that “section” part is not displayed in Google search results.

    3. I figured out why. Dynamic images like https://pics.host.com/abcdasas?sdsds won’t work. So I change to the static version like …./abcd.jpg, it works.
