news ticker All news items showing up on page load

    I have installed the plugin news ticker on 2 different versions of the same site and on one – the ticker works great – on the other version – all the news items appear for several ugly seconds while thepage loads then reverts to working properly.

    I have tried all the solutions offered in the forum
    eg putting
    #news-ticker li { display:none; }
    was not totally sure where to put this
    in style.css it had no affect
    tried to add it to newsticker code but broke the page

    the difference between the 2 versions is added plugins
    -WP UI – Tabs, accordions and more
    and also code to add sound = soundmanager2
    -wp forumserver

    maybe there is some conflict
