News Sitemap empty and cannot read by google

    I testet the new newssite map feature but after generating this, it’s empty and google cannot read the content.

    and could u add taxononies to the news sitemap?

    any idea?

    Thanks for testing the news sitemap. Looks like there’s a character in your XML that’s causing it to break. No changes are required on your end. We’ll release a fix shortly.

    As for taxonomies, they don’t belong in a news sitemap. It is only supposed to contain actual news stories.

    it’s working now, but has still errors according to google.

    Missing XML-Tag:

    Parent keyword:
    publication
    Tag:
    language

    Hey @trooper_d5x,

    If I check the source code of your sitemap in chrome (CTRL+U): https://playfront.de/news-post-sitemap1.xml

    I can see the correct language tag being used:

    <news:language>de</news:language>

    Perhaps Google needs some time to become aware of the change? Or there some sort of caching involved?

    Sorry, it is a little bit confusing that i must submit the sub-url of the sitemap and not the main-url.

    Instead of submitting: yourdomain.com/news-sitemap.xml

    u have to submit: yourdomain.com/news-post-sitemap1.xml

    now it’s working … thank u ??
