News Section on Home not showing latest posts

Hi there,
I’ve tried installing this theme on two different sites and getting the same issue with both-when I have the static home page set up, I can see the news section, and the title and subtitle, but the blog posts aren’t showing up. If I set it to have the latest posts on the landing page they show, but none of the featured or call to action sections.
Am I missing something? Can’t figure out how to get news to show the blog posts.
