Newly entered products description showing shortly

    Hi all,
    I’m making my 4th Woocommerce store. As we are entering products we suddenly notice that only for this newer products the description is briefly showing and then disappears. We added arround 27 products today and the last 4 this is happening so we stopped adding new products for now. We also noticed (but not sure if the 2 are connected) that adding products pictures was bit of a hassle. It was showing when adding but is wasn’t showing on the website (default woocommerce picture was shown).

    Things I tried:
    -removed all css
    -Not using any code in functions.php or style.php
    -Wordpress site diagnose plugin and disabled all plugins (except woocommerce) and used default theme. Problem still there

    -Tried css:
    #tab-description {
    display: block !important; }

    That does show the description for the products that didn’t work but when you click on other tabs the description stays visable.

    I have no clue what to do next. All Google anwsers are issues when description never worked.

    I understand that the product description is briefly showing on the newly added products on your site.

    Can you please share how are these products being added to your site for us to check this further?

    If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if this works?

    Hi Xue,

    Thank you for your time investigating my issue.

    Do you mean how we add products in the backend? Isn’t there only one way to do this?
    It’s not that we changed our way after ±27 products :p

    I allready tried your last suggestion with the “Health Check & Troubleshooting – WordPress plugin”. Problem is also there.

    Hi Xue,

    Don’t know whats happening, but we started entering products again and all are good. Only the four stil aren’t showing (only biefly).
    I remember now that with my first or second Woocommerce shop I also had issues in the beginning with a few products. Could it be a database issue caused by Woocommerce plugin install? I really don’t know. If you would like to know more please tell me.

    Hi,

    You can add the products manually, or in bulk (For example via CSV import).

    If that happens again, please share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs that will help to take a closer look at the issue.
