Had a number of clients inform me today of the plugin breaking with ‘headers already sent’ and ‘undefined variable ret’ when trying to re-download a file from their purchase history page. Fortunately it was as simple as re-installing the previous version (2.9.20) to temporarily resolve the issue, but figured I’d raise a support ticket here too.

    Thank you!

  • Hi @jatacid

I have checked on my local server as well as on development server but I did not face any issue like this.

Generally headers already sent error comes when any output is throw in prior action and page is going to be redirect.

You can check in page view source when you this error occurs so we will be more clear why this error is coming.

    Hi Pratik.

Well yeah it’s a redirect as it’s the link to download the file. (i.e clicking the link opens a new tab, which starts download of a file, and closes the tab)
I have a pretty minimal setup plugin wise so trying to figure out what it is. It’s not my PHP or server environment. Any ideas?

    Hi @jatacid

    Thanks for your response.

Can you please let me know what are the settings at Misc Tab > File Downloads?

Please see below screenshot so you will be more cleared.

I have checked it with “Download Method” forced.

Sorry for the inconveniences this may have caused.

This has been fixed in version 2.9.22, which was released last Thursday. Updating to the latest version should fix it for you.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the fast turnaround – I tried the new version and it has fixed the issue.
No need to adjust the download method forced settings.

    Cheers,
    Jat
