• My blog was hacked, so I worked with my web host to clean it up. I was able to log on and create a new post: https://sanantoniotourist.net/may-the-luck-of-the-irish-be-with-you-in-san-antonio/ but if you go to my blog: https://sanantoniotourist.net/ this most recent post isn’t loading. I’ve tried from my desktop using Firefox and Chrome and mobile using Safari. I called my web host back (twice…two different techs), but they couldn’t figure out what was going on. They recommended that I get in touch with you all. I’ve searched the forums and tried different fixes (deactivating all of my blog’s plug-ins, clearing the cache, etc.), but so far nothing has worked. I did update to the latest version of WordPress after I was able to log back on after the hack. I also updated my theme and plug-ins. When I select Reading Settings, “your homepage displays your latest posts” is selected. When I’m in sanantoniotourist/wp-admin and I “visit site,” I can see the post in the grid/cubic layout. It gives me a ray of hope, but then it’s dashed when I go to sanantoniotourist.net. I sure hope you can figure this out. I’m a writer, who is not the most tech-savvy person, so this is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance for your help! Sincerely, Denise

    I just uploaded to Tumblr:

March’s post is the one that won’t load to sanantoniotourist.net.

    Thanks, Denise

First 2.5 pages are February’s post. Last three pages are March’s post.

I’ve chatted with a couple of our developers, and they pointed out that you are using a caching plugin. Sometimes those can cause issues. Go into the caching plugin, disable caching and then clear the cached files and then uninstall it completely and see if the latest post then shows up. I think it will. Fingers crossed.

I just got back from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Conference in Dallas. While there, I visited with Jason Wallestad, owner of snosites.com. I explained what had been going on with my blog, and he offered to take a look. I read him your last suggestion. Even though W3 cache was deactivated, he said that I needed to purge the cache. He did that. He also minimized the featured photo, which was huge. He said sometimes that creates the problem. If the photo is too large, the homepage skips over it. Finally, he deactivated JetPack, which can sometimes cause conflicts/problems. We’re not sure which of the three did the trick, but my page is now loading. #grateful #relieved

P.S. He also uninstalled the caching plugin after he did the purge.

Hooray! I don’t think Jetpack is the problem. You might try reactivating it and then see if the next post disappears. I’m pretty sure it was the cache from the plugin that was causing the issue.

Sorry it took so long to get around to that possibility. There is SOOOOO much to keep fresh in my mind doing support and sometimes things fall out of one of the holes in my head. ??

Sorry to be a pest, but I think when all of the above took place, I lost all of my subscribers. A friend said that she hadn’t been getting the reminder email, so I checked, and none of my subscribers are in the dashboard! (No wonder my numbers have been down.) Any idea how to get them back?!?! SIGH.

The widget to subscribe to my blog is even gone. Arrrrgh.
