Newbie that needs help

This is my first time using word press or hosting a site. I purchased a domain name and hosting service with godaddy.com . I followed the steps and installed the wordpress application in the database and i can see the wp folders in my ftp file manager. What is the next steps to being able to create and edit a blog using wordpress. Sorry if Im asking a simple question. Ive been googling for hours and they just show the same steps to set up wordpresss app in godaddy.
