Newbie question about changing layout content

I am new to this and I was wondering how I can change the header at the top of my blog page so that there is more space between the blog title and the tagline text. I would like to put the tagline text near the bottom of the header block. I can’t find a file that has the title text or the tagline text in it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
