Newbie Needs Help – White Bar Removal
-
Hi all. New to site and have been using WordPress for the past 2 days trying to build a website for a new business. I know very very basic webpage design and briefly studied html for a year at college.. no expert though by a long long way! Im struggling trying to get my main page looking exactly how i want it and so am making a request here for help.
Im using the Twenty Eleven theme as it looks very clean and tidy. At the top just above the logo i have inserted into the header is a white bar set by default by the theme. For the life of me i cannot remove it and have searched everywhere in style and header code. I have mananged to make it over 1/10th of the original size, as well as removing the search box and website title… but the white bar still remains even with all padding etc set to 0.
So my question, is there a way to remove it completely as following several tutorials posted here i cannot get it to go ?

Many thanx in advance guys. Will be seeing more of you soon as im still trying to get my head around wordpress… pretty damn impressive though ??
