Newbie needs help

  • Yesterday I moved my website to LivingDot which included the WordPress blog software. After it was installed I received an email with my login info. Well, while reading a tutorial for installing new themes, I misread something and now I have no blog, only a directory of files. I really screwed it up royally and have no idea how to get back to the default blog template that was installed. I feel like such a doofus and I hope someone can help me.

  • Notseeing it the only guess could be you deleted the index.php file from the root directory – the 5 lines so-called short and sweet index. You should never touch that, only the index file from your themes’ directory!

    Download the package from here, unzip it and upload the missing index file where your WP install is.
