Newbie needs help

  • Any help here would be appreciated. I installed WP 2.2 and got everything to work correctly when I keep the /wordpress directory, but I want to make wordpress my homepage. I tried just moving everything from the wordpress folder into the main directory, but that didn’t work. I know it has something to do with needing an index.php file in the main directory but I don’t know how to tell it to pull the data from the wordpress files. Any suggestions? The domain is https://www.mikekupfer.com

  • Moving the files from the directory to root only moves your filesystem. The configuration stuff is actually in your database.

    You could do this or this, although the first option probably isn’t necessary with 2.2, as you can do that by checking a box now.
