Newbie needs desperate help determing what CSS code

Hi All,

As a newbie to wordpress I am at a complete loss and seriously need help. I am trying to make my site appear like a news/magazine style. I’ve posted this same question several times and nobody will help. Please, I’m so desperate for advice.

My site compulsivetraveller.com is my own travel news and blogging site. I’m using the Responsive Theme by cyberchimps. I really like it, but I cannot get it to do exactly what I want it to do. I am desperately trying to make my site look similar to these
BackpackingMatt & JohnnyJet.

I do not know what to do now and would appreciate advice on the following:
Can anyone recommend a similar theme to make my website look like the others?

What widgets or plugins would greatly assist me to do what the other sites have achieved?

As someone who has never used WordPress I do not know where to go. I’m desperate to get the layout sorted ASAP as I’m travelling in 4 days need to write several articles on my upcoming trip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and welcome.
