Newbie Looking For WordPress Theme

Please help!! I am a newbie looking for a theme for a blog in which I am also going to incorporate social media (buddypress)…I am a quick learner but am new to putting up websites (my dream is to put up many websites in which to monetize)..I thought it a good idea to come to the www.remarpro.com forum as there are many here who are very experienced with wordpress and have invaluable information to share as you have already been through mistakes, stumbling blocks, etc….I just want some advice regarding a premium theme that would be suitable for what I am looking to do but be user friendly for a beginner…I am educating myself on what goes into picking a theme so that I can avoid as many mistakes as possible…I wanted to ask as well…is buddypress plug in too much to bite off for a newbie?…it is just my site is one that would completely benefit from a social media platform…any advice you could give would be most appreciated as I am very frustrated and want to find a theme so I can get my website started….thanks and would appreciate as many replies as possible….
