Newbie looking for an easy drop down menu solution

I’m looking for a simple solution for drop down menus. I’m hoping it will be something as simple as a plugin. I’m currently trying transmenu, and it works beautifully in Firefox, but does not space correctly in IE7. I feel like some one with more experience could make it work properly with IE 7, but like I said I have very little experience. Any one have any suggestion?
