Newbie – Home page vs. Home Post

    Hello Everyone –
    I am new to WordPress – and I will probably have several questions. Here is my first one, and I hope it makes sense.

    On my website I made a “Home” page – and I then noticed that there was already a “Home” page that was made by default – and it is a post generated page. The way I found this was when I went to display the web site – the menu across the top of the first page has “Home About Us Home” – 2 Home pages. I noticed that the post type of Home page also has the home url for the web site – https://localhost/website. I am afraid that if I delete or remove the Home that is from a post – that the web sie will not be accessible because I cannot put a URL on the other Home page.

    What does one normally do here?
