Newbie help with search engine stuff please

  • Hi all,
    I found this theme really easy to set up and work with and I’ve got the site looking as I want it. Not going to bother with the e-commerce for now.

    I’d like the site to be picked up by search engines and I’m aware that I will need to add keywords somewhere but I can’t figure out where or how.

    Don’t be fooled by how old my profile is, I’ve not touched any of this stuff for years.

  • Hello,

    Settings up SEO is not something that’s done within the theme. To get your site setup for that, you need to use a plugin.

    I recommend getting started by installing YOAST and then reading through the plugin documentation:

    Everything is covered on their site much better than I could ever go over. Setting it up isn’t really too complicated either.
