• Hi, i am a complete newbie & have been having issues with my theme that i installed. Basically i un=installed my plugins as certain things were not working so deactivated them temporarily & have just switched them back on & have this now on my home page. if its not a hack, i have no idea where i am meant to go to correct it. Help

Revolution Slider Error: You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include.
This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work.

    To fix it you can:
    1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option: Put JS Includes To Body option to true.
    2. Find the double jquery.js include and remove it.

  • I suggest you turn off the plugins and try another theme such as Twenty Fifteen.

Lots of stuff will likely be missing but just test for functionality. If Twenty Fifteen works for you with no errors, then replace your problem theme with a fresh upload. This assumes you made no code or css modifications to your old theme.

Be sure to read to determine the current safe version of the Revolution Slider. Then make sure the slider in your theme is at least a safe version. Should you determine that you were running an out of date version of the revslider then you may have been hacked.

wslade, thank you, i will give it a bash & hopefully sort it.

i was initially told, that setting up a wordpress site was easy, its caused me nothing but headaches ??

    thanks

WordPress is a very robust content management system and it does have a learning curve. Some people find a whole new hobby in tweaking code. For others it just brings frustration.

If you find yourself in the second group, you may want to look at WordPress.com. They furnish the server and do more of the heavy lifting, so the site user can spend more time on building content versus sorting software issues.
