Newbie & Can’t get my posts to show up!

  • I just got WP installed yesterday and today I’ve been working on design & my first post on https://www.TruthParlor.com. The issue is that after I ‘publish’ my post, the title, tags, date, etc show up, but not the content of my actual post. Please help! I’m really new and apparently not HTML savvy.

  • It’s not you, it’s the theme. Change to default theme – Admin > Design > Themes and check your site.

    I tried that and another theme as well without any luck. I’m thinking it’s some setting on WP that I may have out of whack???

    Check in your theme’s index.php and/or single.php whether there you have the loop below
    <?php if (have_posts()) : ?><?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
    within
    <div class="article"> and </div>

    I just checked and yes, the coding is character for character as you posted. The other odd thing is that not only are my blogging posts not showing up, but my page content isn’t either. All the other updates I made show up without a problem when I make them through the Write or Manage menus.

    Update: I just deactivated ALL my plugins and my posts showed up! I reactivated one at a time and the offending plugin was ‘bookmarkify’.

    I think it’s great that you found the solution yourself and for letting us know that it was the bookmarkify plugin which wreaked havoc to the whole post content! You’re welcome and feel free to choose dropdown for “resolved” status. Cheers.
