Newbee needs help

  • Hello,

    I am just starting with League Manager and I need some help.

    I want to start with a football championship made of 2 groups of 4 teams (two-legged) and then semi-final and final.
    Points granted : win 4pts, tied 2pts, loss 1pt and no show 0pt.

    I have selected “football” – Points defined by user (I will use “lost after time for no show 0 point) – “Championship” type of competition.
    I have created 2 groups, 4 teams and matches (including 1 cancelled and a win after time to test no show points) for 1 group.

    Here are my questions:
    – ranking is correct but I cannot see total points by team
    – for first and last team, “played games” is not correct (2 instead of 3)
    – What does PCT mean?
    – Pts column is not points but goals
    – what is +/- column for?

    how exactly do you define the “lost after time for no show” rule?

    – the total points are shown in the “Pts” column
    – played games are counted based on non-empty score fields. In the last match you have to add something to the Score field, i.e. the result after regular time
    – PCT means win percentage. It’s calculated as (#won + #draw/2)/#done.
    – the +/- column can be used to add extra points or substract points from team (e.g. as pentalty)

    As you can see in the cature, the “Pts” column shows goals, not points.
    Concerning “lost after time for no show”, in our championship, if a team doen’t show up, the match is lost 3-0 but in addition, the no show team do not have 1 point. I wanted to use the “lost after time” points for that but I can see now that I can use the +/- point correction.

    I made some additional tests and tried to display a table in a page. In this table, I have all selected columns which is fine!

    Issues/Questions:
    – League Manager button is not shown in WP page creation screen
    – “Pts” column” shows 2 figures, first is points, what is second?
    – What it “Team status”?
    – Finaly is it possible to edit (modify) teams (change logo for instance).

    I am learning slowly and I really appreciate your support!
