I just started a WP site a week or so ago, and just added DW a few days ago. It seems like an awesome plugin!

I created a text box, added the links and images and although it took a while to figure it out, all is good. I want to add the same text widget on individual posts, but I need to make the content inside each widget different.

My question is about how to proceed. I want the other text boxes to have the same title, but different content, so do I need to create a new text widget for each page? Can it have the same title?

For instance, if I titled the widget “Music” I’d like to add different images and links for each musician/band on their respective post page.

Thanks for your help (and a great plugin).

DW does not alter content of a widget. It only shows or hides a widget based on the rules you’ve set. So, looking at your query, you will have to create for each individual post a widget.

Wow – that’s a lot of widgets! I think I can have the same title for all the widgets, but it’s going to be tough to keep track of which widget went with which post.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

To be honest, when you want to have different content in a widget for every single individual post, I’m not sure DW is a decent solution for you. Much depends on the number of posts of course. But I think it becomes quickly unmanageable.

    Any suggestions?

Actually I don’t have. No idea if there is a plugin out there that can do what you want. We can always talk about a custom plugin for you that provides such a functionality.

Thanks for your offer, but it’s only a hobby site and wouldn’t justify a custom plugin.

As I mentioned – I’m new to WordPress and although it’s very easy to get the basic site up and running, finetuning it is proving a bit difficult. I’ll just have to keep tweaking.

    Thanks again for your input.
