    Hello Gabriel,

new Yoast SEO 14.7 is not working correctly. If we wish to index our internal links, it’s not working anymore. It was somehow buggy even before but now it’s not even starting. This problem is only if your plugin is turned on. Turning it off works without any issues.

We tried to disable everything in the plugin, used even test mode etc. but nothing helps. You can see the error here https://imgur.com/a/xfcN71f

    Can you fix it please?

    Regards,
    Karel

@keengamer the error you’re getting – Unexpected end of JSON input – is very likely due to the fact that you have the following option enabled “Minify inline JavaScript content within SCRIPT tags“. Yes, it’s a bug (not your fault), and my sincere apologies for this one.

What actually happened was the fact that the “type” attribute wasn’t checked for SCRIPT tags and instead of only taking into consideration only the ones with the value “text/javascript” or no value at all. Yoast SEO is loading SCRIPT tags that have the type equal with “application/ld+json” and the JSON format is minified when it should be left as it is. I’ve fixed this and applied the patch to the development version which can be downloaded until the next tag will be released. Please read more about it here: https://assetcleanup.com/docs/?p=350

    Hi Gabe,

well and that is strange because we have everything regarding JS optimization off, see here https://imgur.com/a/f4hMbW2

Btw. Yoast also said that I was not the only one and probably your plugin is not the only one affected so they are working on a fix as well.

@keengamer in this case, the issue might not be from Asset CleanUp. Another user reported a problem with Yoast on the front-end view and I was under the impression that the one you’re having is somehow similar. However, if it only happens within the Dashboard, then Asset CleanUp shouldn’t interfere with it at all. Hopefully, they will release a fix quickly if it’s only a “Yoast SEO” problem.

Well, but when I deactivated your plugin, it was working well so it must be connected to it somehow.
