New wordpress version 4.4 has permalinks for images

  • Hello,

    How can I remove the permalinks for images?

    Say I upload an image called aboutus.png, WP 4.4 will automatically give it permalink “site.com/aboutus” which can cause collisions in future.

    I want to have No permalinks for images. How to achieve that?
    Core code talk is welcome.

    Not sure if there is easy fix for this, maybe you can create page/post and attach these images there, so URLs will change to example.com/post/aboutus
