After updating WordPress to the latest 5.3 version, your plugin stopped working correctly.

When I edit a post, I can’t switch between Visual (I don’t use Gutenberg) and Text editor, the meta titles/descriptions also changed their styling and even after I put some text there and click save, the plug/and meta title remain the same.

Once I turn your plugin off, I can freely switch between Visual and Text Editor again.

One more issue I found, just tried sharing one of my posts on Pinterest, and when I clicked on my side bars’ sharing icon and went to choose a picture for the pin, there was no “featured picture” for that post, which I wanted to use. I then went to turn off your plugin again, and the featured picture appeared and I was able to use it for my Pinterest pin.

Some of the functions in the Visual Editor also doesn’t work as long as the plugin is turned on. For example, I can’t add links, something is interfering with the tool.

    Hello @lucasw89

Thank you for contacting the support.

Can you please update to the latest version of the plugin, 1.0.35.1?

    That should fix the issue.

Please let us know if that doesn’t.

Sorry for the delayed response. The update fixed all the issues, except for the one with Pinterest where I’m not able to choose the post’s featured image for my Pinterest pin (once I turn the plugin off the featured image appears among other pictures and I can choose it for my Pinterest pin).

    Hello @lucasw89

Can you please share the URL of the post where you are facing such an issue so we can test on our end? As there’s nothing in the plugin’s code which should be preventing it from showing.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    @rankmath,

It’s not post-dependant. It’s happening with any post I want to share on Pinterest. You can use any of my latest posts as an example (my site is pianodreamers.com)

    Hello @lucasw89

Sincere apologies in a delayed response.

We tried sharing one of your posts and the image is appearing correctly:

For the homepage, did you add an image here?

Please let us know. Thank you.

Hi @rankmath, that’s because the featured image in that post is also included inside the article itself (so you’re seeing that internal image for Pinterest pin rather than featured).

Try my other post (Korg Grandstage review) also on the homepage, it has a unique featured image that is not used inside the post.

    Hello @lucasw89

Sorry for the ignorance but aren’t the images showing up for that article as well?

Hi @rankmath, yes, all the images except for the “featured” one that you see on the homepage (the one that says “Korg Grandstage review”). That one is missing, and that’s the one I usually use for Pinterest pins. So, these days in order to use that image as a pin, I have to go to Plugins, turn off Rank Math, share the post on Pinterest (using the featured image), and then come back and turn the plugin back on, which is quite inconvenient as you might have guessed.

    Hello @lucasw89

Was it working with your older SEO plugin? Sharing the articles on Pinterest.

    (@lucasw89)

Hi @rankmath, it was working just fine before. I think it stopped working after I updated to WordPress 5.3, but you also released a few updates around that time, so not sure what exactly caused that.

    Hello @lucasw89

Sorry but we were asking if the other SEO plugins were working fine?

As we did not change anything related to the OG tags in the latest release.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Oh, you meant “my older SEO plugin”, I think it was, but I don’t remember cause’ I switched to Rank Math a long time ago (1+ year) and haven’t had that problem until last month.

    Hello @lucasw89

Can you please update to the latest version of the plugin, 1.0.35.3?

After that, please clear your server’s cache and WordPress’s cache.

Wait for like 30 minutes and test again.

Please let us know if that doesn’t help.
