New WordPress Photoblog

  • “This Is Not A Love Story” has been rechristened as “The Human Museum”, a wordpress powered photoblog. I’m still working on some of the minor details and pages, but I’m really interested in getting some feedback.

    Some things to look for: The header and footer colours change with each photograph posted, photograph notes are published depending on whether I enter any in a separate field in the post box, exif data is published if there are any attached to the photo, and a few other bells and whistles here and there.

    I’m using a .png for the header so the site is best viewed using Firefox but please feel free to have a look around and get back to me.

    I need a browser check, and let me know if anything seems out of place.

    Still do do:
    – Some of the main pages (about, links, etc)
    – A main page for Thumbnail archives alone

  • Pictures in portrait orientation make the page a bit long, but I really loke the changing color header. I like how clean it looks!

    I think I’d like to see more structure within it – perhaps like a bounding box area, rather than some text at the left a picture, some text at the bottom, some text at the right. I think it would give closure to each topic.

    Actually I’ve abandoned the design and am starting from scratch. It was a good first effort, but in the end not quite what I was looking for. I’ve just bought a new domain and hosting package so check https://thehumanmuseum.com in a few days and see the new design.

    I have been looking for a way to use WordPress as a photoblog as well. Is there a download for your templates/add-ins?
