I’ve been trying to use this plugin. There’s no explanation for it, I understand because it’s so simple. The thing is that when we publish a new post on our website, it’s not shared on our Bluesky profile, and I don’t know if it’s because it’s not working properly these days, due to the loss of Twitter users to this social network, or because there’s something I’m doing wrong.

There are only three sections to fill out, so I don’t understand what I could be doing wrong:

Bluesky Domain: The domain of my instance, including the https. In my case it’s https://nextn.bsky.social

Next, it wouldn’t be bad if there was a section to show how to get the additional configuration, since not everyone is familiar with the idea of ??having to create an app for this to work. For those who want to try it and don’t know how to get this, you must go into Bluesky SETTINGS, go down to the “Advanced” section and click on the lock icon that says “App Passwords”. Here you need to click the “Add app password” button, give your app a name and copy the password. Then, completing the configuration:

Bluesky “Identifier”: I understand that this is NOT my Bluesky username, but the name of the app I created in Bluesky. I don’t know if there could be a problem with lowercase and uppercase in the name, because that’s the only thing left to test. The fact is that here I have indicated the name of the app I created.

Password: The password that is automatically generated when you create your app.

Well, with all this, it doesn’t work. The “Debug Information” section of the plugin also doesn’t show any error message or anything that could help me find out why it doesn’t work. What else could it be? Of similar plugins, I have been using WP to Twitter (currently “Xposter”) and Revive Old Post (currently “Revive Social”) for over a decade, and I have never had any problems.
