I just wanted to post this here as I don’t find much online about this. I recently received what appears to be a manually entered user registration with an email similar to [email protected]. I deleted the user, and it signed back up.

When you go to the website wintds.org, I get a security warning and when I proceed, the page displays “Testing 123” with “This page is used to test the proper operation of the Apache HTTP server after it has been installed. If you can read this page it means that this site is working properly. This server is powered by CentOS.”

It seems legit, so is someone just using my website as a testing ground somehow?

I only came across this blog referring this email.

Either way, I didn’t like this “testing user” so I found the Ban Hammer plugin and BAM,
no more registrations from this url or test emails.

I just purchased banhammer pro – but i don’t see a way to ban the wintds.org from registering – I keep getting those [email protected] registration but they don’t show up in the “Armory” – is there a separate blacklist where I can just enter the url’s to be banned?

I’m restoring some questions because @sterndata misunderstood the situation.

@garybuffalo there’s NO pro version of this plugin. Seriously. I’m the author. It’s 100% free and I don’t have the wherewithall to make anything pro.

Banhammer PRO is a totally unrelated product who used the same name. Since it’s not trademarked, I can’t do anything about that ??

That said, in the future, please make your own support post ??
