Hello, I have found an issue (at least for me).

I have created a drip campaing of an inmediate email and 5 more emails, each one one week after the other. So it would be: registration confirmation, welcome email, week 1, week 2… week 5 and finish.

The issue is that 3 of them I had as drafts, because I needed time to finish them. Now I have activated them, but they are not scheduled to be sent to those users that have already subscribed and received the previous ones.

I have MailPoet plugin working fine, sending emails, scheduling, etc everyhting ok.
I have created a new user, suscribed, and all emails are scheduled. It seems only affect old subscribers.

What can I do to schedule the finished welcome emails to be sent to the previously suscribed users?

    Thank you

  • Hi there @raulfox,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Now I have activated them, but they are not scheduled to be sent to those users that have already subscribed and received the previous ones.

This is expected behavior. Welcome emails will only get scheduled/sent for users who subscribed after these emails were activated.

To send these emails to existing users, you need to copy the content to the newsletter type emails and send them manually/schedule.

    Hope it helps!

Hi Elvira, and thank you for your quick answer.

I understand that new welcome emails are not sent to old subscribers, but I am talking about configuring a welcome email for a time after subscription and sending it to users whose subscription is under that time. Therefore, this welcome email could be scheduled to be sent to the subscriber in the proper time as if it was created when the subscription happened.

For instance, if I create a welcome email and configure it to be sent 5 weeks after subscription, users who has subscribed only 3 weeks ago should receive it in 2 weeks from now.

I don’t know if I am explaining the use case in an understandandable way.

    Thanks! Best regards!

    Hi @raulfox,

For instance, if I create a welcome email and configure it to be sent 5 weeks after subscription, users who has subscribed only 3 weeks ago should receive it in 2 weeks from now.

Unfortunately, that’s not possible. Welcome Emails will be all scheduled to be sent at the moment of subscription, so if you create a new email to be sent 5 weeks after subscription, it won’t be applied to those subscribers who already subscribed.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
