New Visibility option – function doesn't work

    Hi arsdehnel,

    I’ve updated today to the new version 0.9.2 and tested the visibility option – with no success ??

    I’m not logged in, so I don’t see some records, which are set “Control Method” to “By Individual” with some users.

    It makes no difference, if I set the visibility option to disable or enable. With both I can’t see the record on my overview page, but if I open the direct link to the record I get the Message “Privat: Access Denied” and see the full entry with pictures and text.

    Can you please check this?

    Hi Daniel,

    That is no good! Did 0.9.1 work properly for you and 0.9.2 is acting as you described? If it did then you can go to the “Developers” tab within this plugin’s page and download 0.9.1 and revert back to that while I work on figuring out why this broke. I’ll let you know when I have a fixed version ready as well.

    Well it sure isn’t my preferred answer, but if 0.9.1 works then that is your best bet at the minute. I have started into another change for 0.9.3 that might take me a bit and I don’t want you to have to wait for that to be complete to fix this other bug. I’m going to leave this issue open, though, and let you know when I have moved to 0.9.3 and also verified that the issue above is resolved.

    I’m not sure if it’s the same issue, but when I tag a post as available to a particular group, the plugin shows the now access text in searches, but then when I click the link the post is shown complete with all content. Shouldn’t the post be removed from search results? And at least if not, then clicking the Private… link shouldn’t show the content right?

    0.9.3 is finally released (as is 0.9.4 shortly thereafter for unrelated changes). Turns out that messing with the visibility options is a whole lot trickier than I originally thought so I think I’m going to leave that alone and have this just compliment that rather than attempt to enhance it directly or replace it.
