New version of wordpress

  • I have updated the WordPress to the lates version (3.4.2) and it has become a nightmare.

    1) Very nice panel in “visual” (not html) which existed in previous versions version has gone and I can’t find it

    2) The text in visual versions cannot be seen. Thus, I can’t edit anything – and it’s a nightmare than you try to enter mediafile

    3) All the comments in my site (pavelshkapenko.ru) have disappeared. Moreover, even than you try posting new ones they are still not shown on the site.

    It’s a real nightmare, so I would thank everyone who could be to solve any of these 3 problems.

    Hello. I saw some attempts to comment the post which I guess are coming form here. It does not work though. I get e-mails but there is no text and in the panel there is nothing at all.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
