new version of Elementor breaks site

  • Seems that the latest update for Elementor breaks my site. Happened twice. Had to restore from backup both times.

  • same here… Not able to update without breaking the site, several attempts, still same issue.

    Ok, think I spotted the “real culprit”, at least in my case… it’s some plugin.

    Shed any light on what plugin is this? I’ve got a larger website that’s having problems loading the Elementor editor, it’s breaking on a backend marionette javascript file.

    For me it’s BuddyPress and sometimes random other plugins but the most consistent problem I’ve seen was BuddyPress + Elementor = Blank Screen on any Elementor pages, No Elementor Editor Load, and Server 500 Error on the Customizer screen. Disable either plugin and all problems magically go away.
